Collaboration with Nanterre’s primary schools and high schools takes shape around the ensemble’s season, whether in the framework of concerts at the Maison de Musique or as concert-encounters. This allows teachers to forge a yearlong pathway that includes inviting musicians and composers to take part in classes, and preparing students to experience contemporary music at concerts.
This partnership has been devised as a long-term project and is bolstered by the involvement of various hubs, i.e. primary and secondary educational establishments, in order to encourage artistic training and an open-minded attitude toward live performance.
In addition, TM+ has signed an agreement with the Institut Universitaire de Formation des Maîtres (IUFM Teacher Training College) of the Académie de Versailles. Lasting several years, this agreement aims to sensitize teacher-interns about contemporary music by way of onsite concert-discussions, lectures, open-house commented rehearsals, and special access to the ensemble’s concerts.
